The “Sport” brake kit is where it all began for TAROX big brake kits. Most Sport kits feature our B32 6 piston caliper, the direct descendant of the 6 piston caliper developed for the first ever TAROX brake kit built for the BMW E30 M3 in 1994. TAROX founder Gianni Taroni's decision to ignore convention and develop a 6 piston caliper rather than 4, combined with the use of such high quality raw materials was a revolutionary step that affirmed TAROX as a pioneer of performance braking.
Sport kits are the basis of our application guide with over 1000 applications. They feature either the B32 or B33 caliper with rotor sizes typically between 300mm and 330mm. The two piece discs feature heat treated billet steel rotors and separate alloy hats which results in an incredibly strong component with the lowest possible overall weight. The focus with any TAROX Sport kit is to ensure an increased level of performance under both street and track conditions with a firm, modulated brake pedal. Also, every effort is made to develop a kit that can be used in the vast majority of occasions with the cars O.E wheels.*
As with all TAROX kits the Sport range integrates with all modern day driving assistants such as traction control, ABS, dynamic driving aids, and EV regenerative systems. Each kit features:
- Hand assembled calipers machined from the highest quality billet alloy.
- Heat treated CNC machined billet rotors in a choice of facings.
- Hard anodized alloy hats.
- Uprated brake pads
- CNC machined alloy mounting brackets with bolts.
- Braided & coated brake lines.
The 'Bespoke' way...
For the bespoke touch all brake kits are tailor made, for the car and for you. For each application the calipers are fine tuned to maximise performance to that specific chassis. Furthermore we offer a choice of caliper colors, rotor styles and pad compounds to ensure your kit performs perfectly in any scenario.
Caliper colors
All TAROX calipers are anodized, never painted or powder coated. The surface of the alloy is lightly abraded before the pigment is chemically bonded to the alloy to create a beautiful satin finish. Currently we offer color anodizing in red, blue, green or gold. Our black caliper option is an especially tough type of protection called 'Hard Anodizing' which is recommended for those who wish to use their cars on the track or for those drivers with a less meticulous car wash regime.
About wheel fitment...
Due to the vast range of wheel designs and sizes available in the aftermarket we are unable to comment on whether or not a kit will fit without spacers. We can provide a wheel fitting template for most of our kits which will allow you to check for suitable clearance before ordering. To request a template please complete your details below. IN STOCK ITEMS
Orders are shipped via USPS or FedEx when shipped from existing US based inventory locations. We aim for same day or next day dispatch, and given this, depending on your exact time of order, and location, we ask that customers allow up to 5 working days for delivery.
If there should be a problem with your order/shipping and it seems likely your order will take longer than 5 days, then we will inform you by email or phone. Deliveries may require a signature so if possible please give a delivery address where the order can be signed for during working hours.
NON-STOCK & MTO ITEMS
Due to our vast catalog it will often be necessary to ship your special order items from TAROX Italy (via TNT, delivered by FedEx) or from TAROX UK. Items shipped from Italian or UK inventory typically take 5 to 10 working days to be delivered. On occasion, there may be zero inventory of an item at any of our international locations. If this should be the case then we will inform you by email/phone as soon as we find out.
Brake kits and Bespoke rotors are always manufactured to order (MTO). We kindly ask that you allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery.
CUSTOMS & IMPORT DUTY
All orders shipping from International stock locations are intended to be delivered duty paid, i.e. you should not have to pay any import costs of any kind to either FedEx or CBP. Unfortunately, due to the number of agencies involved, on occasion you may be sent an invoice for customs charges. Please do NOT pay this and request a refund for these charges, we will not be able to refund you, merely issue a future credit note to that value. We must insist that you forward the incorrect paperwork to us, and we will take care of of the invoice ourselves.
